A friend once shared with me the seemingly self-evident insight that “you don’t know what your are missing if you continually miss it!” He was referring to a class that surveyed the New Testament. He hadn’t realized what he had been missing all those years! Now that he knew, he didn’t want to miss a single minute. Are you “missing it”? Are you missing opportunities to draw closer to God and friends through the many studies that are currently offered? You won’t know until you go! Here’s the breakdown:

Sunday 9:30 – The group has been watching a short video clip by a truly gifted psychologist. He is the first one who has offered me a good explanation on why children who are raised in the church stray in early adulthood. The video is followed by authentic sharing of the wonderful, scary responsibility of parenting. Don’t miss out on the Tobers’ group! I would like to start a Bible study time at 9:30 as well. Contact me if you are interested because right now we are all missing out on this one!

Sunday 10:30 – The fellowship during this time has been such an encouragement! Take the time to get to know the people with whom you worship each week!

Sunday 11:00 – The group has been exploring the Apocrypha – the books at the end of the Old Testament that are accepted as inspired Scripture by the Catholic Church, but not the Protestant. I met with this group today and you are missing out on some interesting conversation and some amazing stories if you aren’t attending this class.

Wednesday 6:30 – This group, led by Kathy and Carla, is covering the same video series on parenting that is covered Sunday in the Tobers’ class. Elizabeth shared today what a blessing the class has been to her. These women have a passionate heart for this class, a heart that was fed in the Tobers’ Sunday class. Thursday 7:30 – This group is meeting in my home. If you don’t have a safe place to explore your faith then you are truly missing out on an important part of growth in Christ. We are developing a solid group of people who are passionate about their faith and we don’t want you to miss out on the fellowship and interactive learning. We meet in my home in Allen.
